New York, NY, January 9, 2019. Rosenblatt Securities is pleased to announce it has added another key component to its growing FinTech investment banking platform. Financial-services thought leader Dushyant Shahrawat, CFA, joins Rosenblatt as Director — Strategic Insights & Advisory, FinTech Investment Banking.

Rosenblatt’s banking team was recently recognized for the second consecutive year by Institutional Investor, which named Managing Director Vikas Shah to its coveted Fintech Finance 40 list. Shah said of the hiring, “Dushyant is well-known and respected in the FinTech ecosystem.  We couldn’t think of a better person to deepen our domain expertise, as well as provide superior content and service to both incumbents and disrupters in the financial services industry.”  As part of the FinTech banking group, Dushyant will bring new ideas to Rosenblatt’s clients, helping them with strategy, growth initiatives, raising capital and M&A.

Dushyant has more than 20 years’ experience analyzing and advising financial institutions, tech firms, service providers and regulators on market trends, emerging technology and innovation at such leading firms as MasterCard, Fidelity, Corporate Executive Board and TowerGroup. For the past five years, Shahrawat has been immersed in the digital transformation of finance, both advising VCs and startups and helping incumbent financial institutions innovate. Recently, he advised the Chinese government on regulating P2P lending and served on the World Economic Forum's Cybersecurity taskforce to create a global blueprint for Internet security in finance. In 2014-2015, he was selected to be an MIT Sloan Fellow, focusing on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which involved course and research work at MIT, as well as Harvard Business School and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He is a CFA charter holder and earned an MBA from MIT Sloan.

Dushyant has published 100+ research reports on strategic issues impacting finance, and been quoted extensively in the press, including interviews on CNBC, Fox News and NPR. He is also active on the global FinTech conference circuit, having spoken at events in 20 countries. Most recently in November, Dushyant addressed the Singapore FinTech Festival--- the industry’s biggest gathering globally -- as a guest of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

“Rosenblatt has leveraged its strong Wall Street reputation, track record and renowned market structure expertise to build a successful FinTech banking boutique,” said Dushyant. “I am excited for the opportunity to contribute my experience, domain knowledge and relationships to further strengthen and grow the platform to become the leader in FinTech investment banking.”

Added Rosenblatt’s President and COO, Joe Gawronski: "Along with FinTech companies themselves, institutional investors have a thirst for knowledge in this space. Adding Dushyant to our team will help us further address that need with focused, differentiated insights.”.

Dushyant’s first publication on top FinTech trends to watch in 2019 will be released later this month. He will also present at our 11th Annual FinTech Summit in New York City on May 23rd.
