Rosenblatt Securities is pleased to have advised Deep Labs, the creator of patented artificial intelligence-driven decisioning and risk systems and recently selected participant in the Goldman Sachs Black and Latinx Entrepreneur Cohort, in its latest round of financing.  The Company’s announcement of the closing of the initial tranche of a $16 million commitment from a group of highly experienced financial services investors and executives can be found here. The investor group is led by Gunnar Overstrom, Partner at Corsair Capital, and also includes Serendipity Capital, Gramercy Ventures and a number of current and former Chairmen, CEOs and other C-level execs from transaction networks, universal banks and large hedge funds and asset managers. The funds will allow Deep Labs to leverage the power of its unique persona-based, context-aware intelligence in the fast-growing Card-Not-Present environment, increasing authentication and authorization accuracy and reducing susceptibility to cybercrime, while still lessening transaction friction and the number of false declines. Mastercard is one of Deep Labs’ partners and early marquee clients include Visa and American Express, authentication leaders such as Clear, and the U.S. Government.

Dr. Scott Edington, co-founder and CEO of Deep Labs, said of Rosenblatt: “Even in an unprecedented funding environment during a pandemic in which face-to-face meetings with investors weren’t possible for nearly the entirety, Rosenblatt delivered.  In fact, the round was ultimately upsized to accommodate investor interest and position us for the long-term. Rosenblatt ran a meticulous process and prioritized assembling an investor group that could contribute more than just capital.  The advice was spot-on throughout.  Focus and critical problem-solving by its senior management were key.  Rosenblatt will always be a trusted adviser and I am delighted to add a new aspect to the relationship by representing Deep Labs at Rosenblatt’s upcoming Reimagining FinTech Summit.”

Rosenblatt’s Investment Banking division has a strong track record of helping innovative FinTechs and increasingly a broader universe of technology, media, and telecom companies raise private capital, go public, and pursue M&A.
