  • ETP average daily volume rose 16.28% m/m (+65.07% y/y) to 4.98 bn, as the VIX average daily close increased 4.00% m/m (-1.40% y/y), to 17.96.
  • Average daily value jumped 31.11% m/m (+52.73% y/y) to $349.2 bn.
    ETP ADV accounted for 21.29% of total equity ADV (-78 bps m/m), and 27.04% of ADVT (+244 bps m/m).
  • Active ETPs (transparent and semi-transparent) accounted for 11.80% (+25 bps m/m) of total AUM, 24.40% (-76 bps m/m) of total ADV and 8.74% (-38 bps m/m) of total ADVT.
  • The 20-most-active ETPs comprised 41.95% (+466 bp m/m) of total ETP volume and 8.93% (+70 bps m/m) of all equity volume, during regular trading hours.
  • Nasdaq (+40 bps m/m) gained the most market share for regular trading hours, as IEX (+14 bps m/m) reached a new all-time high; MIAX (-70 bps m/m) lost the most market share.
  • Net ETP inflows were $179.02 bn. US equity funds ($111.71 bn) once again led the pack, with US corporate fixed income ($33.09 bn) a distant second. Commodity (-$6.95 bn) and currency funds (-$4.61 bn) experienced the largest net outflows.
