  • Of this total, 754.6 million (-18.31% m/m) traded in the US and 300.1 million (-15.63% m/m) in Canada, for a US-CAD split of 71.5%-28.5%.
  • Looking at value traded, the US-CAD split is less pronounced, at 60.53% south of the border to 39.47% north.
  • The US OTC market traded 3.64% of the total value in single-listed Canadian securities, up 43 bps m/m.
  • Average daily volume fell 14.15% m/m (+12.33% y/y), to 1.09 billion shares.
  • Dark-pool market share increased 5ps m/m (+118 bps y/y) to 6.87%.
  • Hidden orders on lit markets executed 11.82% of US volume in May, down 34 bps from April.
