  • Average daily value traded dropped 14.21% m/m (+6.30 y/y), to €64.35 billion.
  • The VSTOXX average daily close fell 0.33% m/m (+41.88% y/y) to 27.38, while the FTSE 100 IVI declined 5.14% m/m (+31.06% y/y) to 22.18.
  • Lit markets (+456 bps m/m), dark MTFs (+91 bps m/m), periodic auctions (+25 bps m/m), bank SIs (+19 bps m/m) and ELP SIs (+12 bps m/m) gained market share. OTC trading (-527 bps m/m), closing auctions (-61 bps m/m) and opening auctions (-15 bps m/m) lost share.
  • Cboe DXE Europe (EU) (+66 bps m/m) gained the most pan-European on-venue market share. Deutsche Börse (-82 bps m/m) lost the most.
  • Among the national exchanges we follow, only Nasdaq Copenhagen (+165 bps m/m, DK 25), Euronext Stockholm (+109 bps m/m, SE 30) and Euronext Lisbon (+25 bps m/m, PSI 20) gained market share in their home indices. The London Stock Exchange (-1,059 bps m/m, FTSE 250; -643 bps m/m, FTSE 100) and Euronext Paris (-638 bps m/m, CAC 40) lost the most.
  • Alternative closing-auction market share fell 71 bps, accounting for 6.83% of total end-of-day activity.
