• The 231 equities listed in both Canada and the US had average daily volume across both countries of 895.7 million shares in March (+18.25% m/m).
• Of this total, 524.5 million (+24.04% m/m) traded in the US and 371.1 million (+10.93% m/m) in Canada, for a US-CAD split of 58.6%-41.4%, compared with 55.8%-44.2% in February.
• The US OTC market traded 2.34% of the total value in single-listed Canadian securities, down 3 bps m/m.
• Market-wide Canadian ADV (including single-listed names) climbed 9.59% m/m (-29.10% y/y), to 1.36 billion shares.
• Dark-pool market share slipped 3 bps m/m (+24 bps y/y) in March, to 4.44%.
