• The 232 equities listed in both Canada and the US had average daily volume across both countries of 758.0 million shares in January, (+7.80% m/m).
• Of this total, 434.7 million (+6.23% m/m) traded in the US and 323.4 million (+10.00% m/m) in Canada, for a US-CAD split of 57.3%-42.7%, compared with 58.2%-41.8% in December.
• The US OTC market traded 2.83% of the total value in single-listed Canadian securities, down 14 bps m/m.
• Market-wide Canadian ADV (including single-listed names) grew 10.49% m/m (-39.39% y/y), to 1.29 billion shares.
• Dark-pool market share rose 47 bps m/m (+72 bps y/y) in January, to 4.64%.
