Biography

Scott M. Shaw joined Lincoln Educational Services in 2001 and currently serves as the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. He has been a member of the Board of Directors since July 2015, having previously served on the board from 2001 to 2006. Before assuming his current leadership role, Mr. Shaw held several key executive positions within the organization, including President and Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, and Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development.

Prior to his tenure at Lincoln, Mr. Shaw was a partner at Stonington Partners, Inc., where he worked from 1994 to 2001. In this capacity, he was responsible for identifying, evaluating, and acquiring companies, while also assisting in their long-term oversight through board participation. His work involved collaborating with senior management to develop strategic plans, evaluating new investment opportunities, assisting with refinancing, and managing the final sale of companies to the public or other entities. Additionally, Mr. Shaw served as a consultant to Merrill Lynch Capital Partners Inc., a private investment firm, from 1994 through 2000.

Mr. Shaw holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business and a B.A. from Duke University. His extensive background in financial and business management, paired with his long history with the company and deep industry knowledge, continues to provide the Board of Directors with valuable insights into the industry’s evolving landscape.
