Some highlights from this month's issue:
• The 180 equities listed in both Canada and the US had average daily volume across both countries of 410.4 million shares in August, up 17.58% m/m
• Of this total, 217 mn (52.8%) traded in the US (+14.66% m/m) and 194 mn (47.2%) in Canada (+20.31% m/m), compared with a 51.6%-48.4% US-CAD split in June
• Surging interest in cannabis shares helped drive US inter-listed market share higher
• Market-wide, including single-listed names, ADV rose 18.52% m/m (+26.61% y/y), to 919.0 million
• Dark-pool market share dropped 77 bps m/m (+55bps y/y), to 7.61%
